Remembering the innocent lives lost.

In Memoriam. We honor the nearly 3,000 innocent people who lost their lives. The World Trade Center, in Lower Manhattan, New York City, was destroyed after a series of terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, killing almost 3,000 people at the site.

Saint Teresa of Calcutta - Saint of the Day

 Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, better known as Mother Teresa or Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, was an Albanian-Indian Catholic nun, founder of the Missionaries of Charity and a Catholic saint. Born in Skopje, then part of the Ottoman Empire, she was raised in a devoutly Catholic family.

Role: Pope and Doctor of the Church Papacy: Elected on September 3, 590, serving until 604 AD.

Titles: One of the four great Latin Doctors of the Church and the first pope to use the title "Servant of the servants of God".

Patronage: Musicians, singers, students, teachers, and popes.

Life and Legacy:

Early Life: Born in Rome around 540 AD, he initially served as the Prefect of Rome before leaving public office to become a Benedictine monk.Papal Leadership: As pope during a time of plague, famine, and war, he used the papal treasury to feed the poor, care for refugees, and negotiate peace.
