IN MEMORIAM
I'm sad today to hear about
the passing away of Mr. Donald Elwood Evans.
My heartfelt sympathies go out
to all bereaved family members.
May fond memories that you all once shared
in happier times in the days gone by bring you comfort.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
I've been very fortunate to have met Don Evans
during the time when my wife and I attended
Lori and Dave's wedding in Medford, Oregon.
We also had the opportunity to visit him at his place.
He took great pride to show us his impressive
during the time when my wife and I attended
Lori and Dave's wedding in Medford, Oregon.
We also had the opportunity to visit him at his place.
He took great pride to show us his impressive
and extensive memorabilia over the years
that he kindly and proudly let me photograph.
The unique, exuberant and cheerful way in which he told
about his life's experiences had me spellbound.
The photographic collection on the walls said it all
and bore testimony to his narrative
with a dash of humor and wit thrown in -
with a dash of humor and wit thrown in -
from the tub bass he made
to horses and classic automobiles.
to horses and classic automobiles.
It was like being in a museum
of a life that he happily lived to the full
and a family he dearly loved
and a family he dearly loved
- a life of a true gentleman -
gone, but not forgotten.
We will miss you.
We will miss you.
REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE
MR. DON EVANS
