ALL Jokes Aside

The Wandering Art Connoisseur
at an Arts & Crafts Show
in Ontario

Wanderer:  Beautiful art.

Me:            Thank you.

Wanderer:  I used to paint long ago. I just gave up!

Me:            So, then what happened?

Wanderer:  By the way, where are you from?

Me:            Mississauga, Ontario.

Wanderer:  No, that's not what I mean. I mean where are you originally from?

Me:            Why does it matter? Ah! now I know why you gave up. You
were more interested in knowing where the buyers were originally                    from. You were a wanderer.

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON

TONIGHT I SAW A BLUE MOON RISING!

According to modern folklore, a Blue Moon is the second full moon in a calendar month. Usually every month we have only one full moon, but occasionally a second one gets in. This July has already had one full moon on July 2nd which I had an opportunity to photograph from an evening cruise in Kingston, Ontario. As we all know full moons are separated by 29 days, while most months are 30 or 31 days long; so it is possible at times to fit two full moons in a single month. This happens every two and a half years or so. I took these photographs last night in Caledon, Ontario, at 8.38 pm. But the moon, once in a blue moon, isn't always blue. This time it was yellowish-orange, but I made it blue using a blue filter. This feast to my eyes, however, was short-lived as the clouds soon rolled in and took over the skies! I'll see you Yellow Moon, once in a blue moon!
