BENNY BARBOZA -3rd DEATH ANNIVERSARY

Please click on play and turn up the volume.
Thanks for watching.

In Loving Memory of

BENEDICTA CAITANA BARBOZA
Parra, Bardez, Goa.
Born: 26.09.1934         Died: 29.06.2010
(Wife of Late Mr. Fredrick Charles Barboza)

Dearer to memory than words can tell,
Thoughts of a mother we loved so well,
A beautiful memory left behind
Of a mother ever so gentle and kind.

There will be a Requiem Mass on 13th July, 2013,
at St. Anne's Church, Parra, Bardez, Goa,
offered by her sorrowful family members,
followed by prayers and blessing of the grave.

MOTHER

Song dedicated on behalf of
all family members
by Tony Fernandes

Songwriters: BRAIS, CHRISTIAN / JOLY, MATHIEU,
VIOLA, DOMINIC / WILLIAMSON,
 FRANCOIS / SALTZMAN, JEFF

If only I could see again
The twinkle in my Mother's eyes.
To hear again her gentle voice
And have her hold me when I cry.

If only she could be here now
To help me free my troubled mind.
I wonder if my mother knows?
Although I've tried - no peace I find

It seems a hundred years ago
That when I'd cry she'd wipe my tears
And just like magic when I'd fall
She'd be right there to calm my fears

Oh Mom, If you could only see
The hurt and pain I'm going through
I must have cried ten million tears
Since the tears I cried when I lost you

I know you're never far away
I almost feel you close to me.
Oh how I'd love to hold your hand
Your loving smile, I'd love to see

But in my heart, you're still alive
I think about you everyday
Oh Mother dear, why did you die
And leave me here so far away

SAVED BY PUNCTUATION

Punctuation could also save one's life, thus:

1. LET HIM DIE NOT LET HIM GO.
2. LET HIM DIE, NOT LET HIM GO.
3. LET HIM DIE NOT, LET HIM GO.

THEY LEFT WALLETS AT HOME!

WET WALLETS

Many people attended our last craft show
 and the park was full;
lot of people who visited bought arts and crafts,
but at this show no one purchased anything
because they thought it would rain.
So they left their wallets at home
because they thought they would get wet.

R.I.P.
The Legendary Slim Whitman

TILL I WALTZ AGAIN WITH YOU

DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE

János Arany (March 2, 1817—October 22, 1882), was a Hungarian journalist, writer, poet, and translator. He is often said to be the "Shakespeare of ballads" – he wrote more than 40 ballads which have been translated into over 50 languages, as well as the Toldi trilogy, to mention his most famous works. ~ Wikipedia ~

PEACE - A GIFT TO EACH OTHER - Elie Wiesel

FEAST DAY OF ST. ANTHONY - 13th June

Happy Feast Day
of St. Anthony of Padua

This is a very festive and commemorative  day in Goa. Today is the feast day of Saint Anthony of Padua, whose feast day is celebrated with much pomp and fervour in many churches, chapels and in homes around Goa, where many people of all ages bear the name Anthony like myself.  Besides churches and chapels being dedicated to this famous Saint, many educational institutions also bear this phenomenal name. The name St. Anthony is also used by business owners. The name 'ST. ANTHONY' is seen inscribed on buses and cars by transport companies plying around all over the Goan country side and also on signboard of shops. But the one that takes the cake is 'ST. ANTHONY'S BAR AND RESTAURANT".

ALL JOKES ASIDE

GONE GOAN RESTAURANTS

There was a restaurant nearby where we once lived and we often bought ‘Naan’ from there. But that restaurant is now closed and we have ‘None’.

Then there was another restaurant called “Cumin and Goan’. Unfortunately when the restaurant shut down, they said the restaurant was ‘Gone’.

Call it lost Goan pride, but there was once a restaurant called 'Pride of Goa', but it proudly shut down after a few years of operation.

SURVIVE OR NOT TO SURVIVE

It just started pouring rain with thunder and lightning just soon after we sat set up our booth at a craft show. I did not know whether to stay or leave. But my kind vendor friend and neigbour had this to say. “Just do what you need to do. It’s your choice. Survival is not mandatory”.

FARMERS

The real farmers are really down to earth. They stand their ground no matter what.

FOR SHOW

One woman insisted and admitted that her products were not real after all. She confided that they were just ‘Faux show’.

ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL COPY OR DUPLICATE ORIGINAL

Three guys were arguing. All were artists in their own right/ One guy said his work was “Original Photography”, the second one said it was an Original Copy of his own work, while the third said that he was sure it was a “Duplicate Original”.
